The Eighth Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University is located in Futian District, Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province. It is a national third-class hospital and an affiliated hospital directly under Sun Yat-sen University. It has a history of more than 60 years.
In accordance with the "double first-class" construction plan, Sun Yat-sen University has built the eighth affiliated hospital with the strength of the whole school and gathering the talents of the affiliated hospitals. The hospital has become an important part of the Shenzhen campus of Sun Yat-sen University and the eighth Clinical College of Sun Yat-sen University. It is an important support for the construction of medical schools and an important base for training high-level and high-level medical talents. The hospital is now composed of the hospital headquarters and 28 community health service centers, with more than 2400 employees. In 2019, the new hospital building was officially opened, with a construction area of 210000 square meters, more than 1600 beds, and new designs such as vertical greening, sky garden, one bed and one window.
